The new 2010 Lego Space shuttle stands at 17.5" (44cm) tall and 10" (25.5cm) from wing tip to wing tip, this detailed and realistic space shuttle is ready to count down and blast off on its next exciting mission into space!

You can take off from the launch pad, separate the detachable fuel tank and booster rockets, and deploy the satellite with unfolding antenna and solar cell panels.

The Lego Shuttle model features realistic engines, retractable landing gear, an opening cockpit with seats for 2 astronauts, opening cargo compartment with a crane that can hold the satellite and a ground maintenance vehicle. "This set is simply AMAZING! First off, the building experience is very fun. This set includes lots of interesting pieces and employs several different techniques to achieve all of the details, from the landing gear to the boosters, from the cargo bay to the fuel tank. The fuel tank is very cleverly designed, and I was also impressed with several aspects of the shuttle orbiter design, too. A truly great build!
Secondly, the model is so well-detailed that I nearly wept upon its completion. The dimensions of the shuttle are very near perfect, the fuel tank and boosters so pristine, includes a satellite to deploy into orbit, the shuttle lands on a slight angle, and the cockpit controls even include a full "QWERTY" keyboard, which blew me away! Unfortunately, the shuttle ended up with generic space logo decals where NASA decals really would have made this set beyond spectacular. . . so I made my own! ; )
Lastly, the model also includes some great action features. The booster rockets and shuttle orbiter all detach from the central fuel tank, and the orbiter features opening cargo bay, spring-loaded landing gear, and so forth. The only drawbacks here are that it is very difficult to squeeze both astronauts into the cockpit, and the rear landing gear does have a propensity to "disengage" upon landing. The unpredictable landing gear aside, all of these features enhance the realism (and greatness) of this model.
All told, this model is AMAZING! As a LEGO fan and a space exploration and astronomy enthusiast, I cannot think of a better way to commemorate the final year of the NASA Space Shuttle program. The model is incredible, the price is right, and you would be a fool to miss out on this kit!"

"This is one of the best choices I have made to buy a lego set. It is completely awesome. There is only 1 thing I would like lego to maybe do with future versions. Number the bags! The hardest part of the entire build was the little camera vehicle because i am digging through a huge pile of thousands of pieces. The sattelite is cool. The boosters and fuel tank are nicely detailed. The orbiter is awesome. You should definitely buy this set."
