"The City Garage is an BIG set! It has 3 good vehicles and 4 minifigures. The layout of it is a bit like the Fire Station. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
3 vehicles
4 minifigures
Overhead crane (a first in City)
Detailed office
Lots of tools
Detailed tow truck
Cons:
All vehicles are trucks
A bit pricey
Overall, a good set. It looks good next to the City Service Station if you have it. Essential for LEGO City fans!"

"This set is by far one of my favorites. I love Lego cars, and I've always wondered what happens to them when they blow a tire and has no one to repair it. So after working a while, I got this set. As I was building it, I appreciated the detail carefully placed into it.
The first build is the small blue truck. It looks good in a city, but even better being repaired on the yellow lift. It has a small bed in the back of it. The inside has a steering wheel and a yellow seat. It's built on the basic chassis. The front has two headlights and a radiator.
The second build is the red delivery 18-wheeler cab. It has two rear-view mirrors and a good sized windshield. In front of the truck, there's the headlight piece that has two small indentions in the bottom to allow the tow truck to pick it up in that area. Behind the truck, there's a rack on each side of the truck that has a small oil container and a wrench. It has a neat red white and blue pattern on the truck.
The third build is the tow truck. It's much more elaborate than the small tow truck bought separately. It has two rear-view mirrors, and two horns on the top. It has blue lights behind the horns and big exhaust pipes behind that. You then come to the string-lift mechanism, which connects to a small hook that lifts up and down. This doesn't affect the main lifting system, as I previously thought it did. The main lifting system has interactive features with it. Grabbing the black part and pulling up will allow the whole system to move up, and vice versa. On each side of the truck, there are two small containers that have nothing inside of them, and two doors that open to reveal the towing system for easy repair. These larger doors do not store anything in them.
The next build is the small operating office. There's a yellow fence in front of the whole thing. It has a door and a window in front of it, and a hydrant in front of the door. Inside the office, you have a computerized map that works with two small computers controlling it. You then move over to a small folder-like holder, to keep three small pieces of paper. Beside that, you have the main computer to store records, expenses, and possibly to control the crane mechanism. Beside the computer, there's a red coffee maker brewing up some, well, coffee. In front of the computer, there's a small swivel chair.
The next build is the main working station. Beside the office, there's a tire rack with four big tires, each having yellow rims inside them. A little over to the right, there's a tool rack with a screwdriver and a wrench. In front of that, there's a yellow lift that uses a system of Technic pieces to lift the small blue truck. Behind the lift, there's two storage bins that open up to reveal nothing. On top of them, there's a drill press and a buzz saw. Beside that, there's a yellow line where you back the red delivery truck onto for repairs. There's a small tool rack with a sledgehammer and a magnifying glass. On top of everything, there's a small crane thing that carries two cans of oil all around the work station. There's a chain that allows the oil to be lifted up and down, and all around! A small hallway takes you to the final part.
The last build is a large garage to put the tow truck in. There's a black functioning garage door that opens and closes. I wish it would have been at least two studs wider and three studs longer, so the whole truck would have been covered. You have to push in the rear-view mirrors to fit the truck in it. On top of it, there's two sets of red and green lights, which I don't know the purpose of. On top of the roof, there's a small sign with a picture of a tow truck on it. Right beside the front of it on the left side, there's a container with a nozzle on the top to dispense an unknown substance, which I guess is water. And on the Left side, Lego City is going green, as there's a recycle container over there.
Now onto the minifigures. It has three workers to do stuff around the work space. There's a delivery truck guy there too, who's driving the red truck.
Overall, this set was chock full of detail. The price was a tad bit expensive, as the police station has the same amount of pieces and it's ten bucks less. But there are some big pieces in this, so I guess that covers for the price. I honestly couldn't find anything horribly wrong with it. Please make more sets like this, Lego. I loved it. 995/100!"
