"This is a very cool toy, my son loves playing with it with the rest of his sets.
There is one problem, I bought this boat because he always wants to bring legos into the tub, and this one says it floats. It doesn't, it is top heavy and flips over and then sinks. The instructions seem to show putting some watter in the base in order to act like a ballast, except that even if you fill the base to the point of sinking it is still top heavy.
When I was a kid I had a lego boat that did in fact float because it came with a weighted peice you attached to the bottom. While this very cool fire boat does have a slot for some kind of weight on the bottom of it, I can't find any such weight for sale anywhere. (I feel it should have come with the boat)
Very cool set, wish that it floated as advertised on the box.
