"This set almost completes our construction themed collection, we're short the dozer. I purchased this on sale so i got a really good deal, which made this set worth the price. Its a really big model which i like, i'm not fully sold on the more modular building style pieces. I don't know how else it could have been made otherwise though.
It is designed well, few pieces fall off during play, i see this more and more with the newer sets Lego has been designing. It stands up to my 4yr olds heavier hands, what does fall off he can put back on. I can't find anything to complain about other then the modular styling. Its another well designed construction set, i think for a little older builders then my guy.
If you have the other construction sets this one is a must have. Its got a much better hook/crank design then the big crane set. But i like the other crane build more. Now all we need is find the dozer. I like this construction series and hope Lego expands on it some in 2010."

"The rugged crawler crane comes charging through the construction site, with its massive tracks and huge boom, towering over evrything else (even the XXL crane). Sorry if that was cheesy, but this really is a very accurate model of the real thing. I have seen these kind of vehicles before and LEGO have copied them just right. It's like a minituarized version for you!
For a start, you get 2 MINIFIGS! For one vehicle, that's not bad! Trouble is, there's no space for the boss (?). However, it packs some serious detail. If you're someone (like me) who likes technical vehicles but aren't too keen on LEGO Technic, then BUY THIS. Seriously, it is really cool and impressive when finished. Build time is about 40 minutes. It's not too tricky to build, despite its look. And, best of all, IT'S HUGE!!! It is much bigger than it looks on the box / magazine, etc.! It is really big - even taller than the XXL in the construction site set.
Overall, great buy. Get it!! No construction site is complete without it!"
